Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis is a very touching image. The trees frame the image nicely. The expression of worry on their faces helps evoke emotion and lends a solemn mood in the piece.
While I understand the characters are stylized there are a few atomically issues I would like to point out.
Overall, the proportions are very canine. Cats are longer than they are tall. They have a long back (they actually have a couple extra vertebrae) and robust short limbs. The muzzle is short, but very dog like.
The front legs are off. The elbow seems to be too low. Firestar's forearm is, way off. Mostly because the elbow is too low. I can see what you were going for. The humerus connects to the ulna and radius only slightly below the sternum. The pisiform pad and dew claw are absent as well. The knee is way too low as well. Te ankle is too high and the metatarsals are too long whir the lower leg, tibia and fibula are too short. Here is a skeletal reference for help.
